Downtown Photos
Welcome to the Photo Section of DowntownFlint.com. This section is no more than what the title says - a photo gallery for downtown (and the surrounding area). The gallery is routinely updated from once to several times a week. We don't see that changing anytime soon. Currently, there are no high resolution photographs available, but that may change in the future.
There's not much more to say than that so go check out the photo gallery already!
Updates
If you've been visiting the site you probably noticed that photos are slowly building up in the gallery; it's just that no update was posted on this page. We decided to post an update today incase people were just looking at the date, and also because there were a few tweaks and adjustments recently made. It's mostly minor design changes and a few things on the server side, so most people probably won't know the difference.
Don't worry, though. We haven't come close to running out of photos to add. It's just that some of the other sections have been getting more attention lately. When some of the work on other sections comes to an end, the photo gallery will get more noticable upgrades.
The photo gallery is up! The plan is to add a lot more pictures in the next few days. There's more work to be done on the gallery script, but at least it's up and in a usable state.
Also, the size of the photos might come down a bit. At their current size they use up a lot of bandwidth(!) and probably won't fit on most people's screens when the large images start to be shown inside of a page instead just the photo by itself. The links to the image files with no content are just temporary.
The photos will also get some unobtrusive watermarks (for the full size ones) so people won't just hotlink the photographs without giving any credit to this site. That's preferable to blocking hotlinks altogether.
