Preliminary plans call for a 3-story 380-space parking garage at the corner of Kearsley and Beach St.

The Downtown Development authority, who is in charge of this project, plans to sell $10 million in bonds to finance its construction. Part of the money will be repaid by using the DDA's tax increment financing authority.

Ann Arbor's Walker Parking Consultants was hired by the DDA to design the ramp while Shape of Future Things to Come Inc., Flint was hired to manage it.

According to DDA director James Rutherford, construction is expected to start in the spring of 2008.
