Land Bank considers rescuing Manhattan Place project

March, 20 2006

After years of being "on hold", the Manhattan Place project might actually get finished with the help of the Genesee County Land Bank among others.

Owner James Crawley says that the condominium project is about 70 percent complete, but the city of Flint is attempting to foreclose on the property stating that Crawley owes the city $2 million.

The Land Bank, along with the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, may be able to bail Crawley out and finally finish work on the condomininiums.
